Filipino Maid Fired From Work After Giving Employer Drink Laced With Urine
In her effort to win an employer’s favorable treatment, a Filipino household service worker in Saudi Arabia has been fired after lacing the employer’s drink with urine.
The Filipino maid, only identified as Armida, 40, initially denied pouring urine into her employer’s drink. She later confessed to the act, which some believe helps turn those who drink the concoction exhibit better behavior.
As punishment, her employer made her drink the beverage.
“She was lucky that she was only fired by her employer and no charges were filed against her,” ni Labor Attaché Nasser Munder said.
Munder said that they are now coordinating with Armida’s agency and the Philippine Overseas Labor Office-Overseas Workers Welfare Administration for her immediate repatriation.
Armida, who has been serving in the household for just three months, said that she just want to go home and take care of her kids.
