Filipina Helper in Kuwait Seeks Help on Social Media

A Filipino domestic helper in Kuwait, allegedly accused by her employers of stealing jewelry, took a video of herself with a bleeding nose.

Two videos of Hazel Ramos on Sunday were shared on Facebook by fellow Filipina Renelyn Nazareno Macabus, who is also based in the country.

With bleeding nose, Ramos said in the video that her female employer threw things at her after accusing her of stealing her jewelry. When she denied committing theft, the woman began to slap her, causing her nose to bleed.

According to Macabus, Ramos is pleading for help from the Philippine government to rescue her and bring her home.

This was not the first time Ramos had experienced maltreatment at te hands of her employers. She told her friend that her male boss had pushed her down the stairs from the second floor of their house and slapped her because he had told by the female employer that Ramos had lost his credit cards, an accusation she vehemently denied.

Macabus pleaded to the public to share her post in order to reach out to the Philippine government for help.
