Honest Porter Jony Villon Invited Back to Work for Former Employer
A honest deed by a porter at Ninoy Aquino International Airport continues to reap more positive news.
41-year-old Jony Villon, who recently found and returned $4,800 (P210,000) left behind by a passenger at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 continues to earn praises and rewards. He personally received a cash gift worth P10,000 from a radio listener at DZMM who wished not to be identified.
“Para po akong lumulutang sa alapaap sa dami po ng bumabati, pumupuri at nagbibigay ng tulong sa akin. Maraming salamat po,” said Villon.
Not only he received gifts such as cash and privileges, his former employer also offered a job for him in Israel.
Villon told ABS-CBN News that even when he returned to the Philippines in 2008, the family of his former employer continues to send money especially during his birthday.
Villon worked as caregiver for a 90-year-old employer with Alzheimer’s Disease from 2001 to 2008 in Israel. During his stint there, he found and returned cash worth about P700,000 in Israeli currency to his employer’s children.
He said that the family of his former employer is finalizing plans for his return to Israel .
Villon, a contractual employee at the airport, is the sole bread winner of his family. He has two children.
He will be on force leave from February 1 to February 15 as mandatory requirement by airport authority to all contractual employees.
