Filipinos in Saudi Arabia who become victims of accidents or crime and require immediate medical attention are hereby directed to the following procedures:
For Legal Workers / With Iqama
- For Filipinos working with their employers/sponsors, please be advised that your employers have the obligation to provide for your medical insurance upon your arrival in the Kingdom. If employers are not providing medical insurance, they are obliged to pay in cash hospitalization expenses/bills of their employees or workers.
For Absconding Workers / Undocumented Residents / No Iqama

- A basic requirement for hospitalization is presentation of documentation such as a residency permit or iqama.
- For overstaying or absconding Filipino workers with extreme emergency cases, the Saudi governorate for health affairs has issued a directive to all government hospitals to accept patients who are in need of immediate medical attention and treatment.
- The Social Services Attache (DSWD) extends welfare assistance in some minor cases. For cases that require disbursement by the ATN Fund, this will require approval by the DFA and therefore it is not advisable for emergency cases.
