8 Filipino Nurses Held Hostage by ISIS in Libya Return Home

Eight Filipino nurses, along with a 10-month-old baby, who were held hostage by reported members of the Islamic State in Libya arrived in Manila Sunday night after their ordeal.

The hostages came from a 5-day debriefing and medical check-up in Istanbul, Turkey.

Medical experts in Istanbul also talked to the nurses, who also went on sightseeing to help ease the trauma they suffered during their captivity.

They were accompanied onboard the Turkish Airlines flight by Department of Foreign Affairs Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs executive director Ambassador Ricardo Endaya.
