OFWs Under ‘No Work No Pay’ Scheme Eligible for DOLE P10K Cash Assistance

Overseas Filipino workers who are under a ‘no work no pay’ job arrangement are eligible to receive financial assistance from the Department of Labor and Employment, the Philippine Overseas Labor Office – Dubai (POLO-Dubai) announced in an advisory dated Saturday, April 18.

In the advisory, POLO-Dubai said OFWs who have been permanently or temporarily displaced due to the impact of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) are qualified to avail of the P10,000 one-time financial assistance under the “DOLE-AKAP for OFWs” department order.

To be eligible for the assistance, OFWs must meet the following conditions:

Have experienced job displacement due to COVID-19, as follows:

  • Workers who remain to be unemployed at the time of availing of the financial assistance under the DOLE-AKAP;
  • Workers under a ‘no work, no pay’ arrangement;
  • Workers who are unable to work and receive salary due to COVID-19 infection

POLO-Dubai also assured that the applications already submitted by workers under the “no work, no pay” arrangement before the new advisory are now being reviewed and currently acted upon by the agency.

OFWs who are currently in the Philippines and are unable to return to their worksite may submit their applications to the Overseas Workers’ Welfare Administration Regional Welfare Offices.

Filipinos who are eligible for this assistance based on the above conditions must access the link in POLO-Dubai’s Registration Database at its website (www.polodubaiportal.org) and accomplish the form with the attachment of the requirements.

Applications sent through e-mail, messenger apps, WhatsApp, and any other communication channels will not be considered.
