Should travelers avoid Cebu Pacific?

Being the most preferred airline in the Philippines when it comes to cost-effectiveness and value, Cebu Pacific has earned a name for itself in the industry. However, overseas Filipino workers or OFWs should caution themselves before booking a flight.

Several wicked tales may spur you to pay the extra cost to stay safe and get to your destination on time. Here are some reasons to avoid the Philippines’ largest airline.

Flights get delayed.

There was a time when passengers choose Cebu Pacific flights because of their on-time flight pledge. But that’s now history. A growing number of flights are currently delayed due to several factors, including lengthy security checks and weather disturbances.  There are plenty of times when flights get delayed due to several reasons like problems in the aircraft systems and equipment, too many airplanes from the company scheduled for the day, and booking problems. For OFWs with limited time and who wish to get to destinations promptly, this is a cautionary tale.

There are reasons to avoid Cebu Pacific when flying to your desired destination.

People can have their flights delayed by a few hours or ultimately canceled. Cebu Pacific needs to improve the way it accommodates too many passengers. Since the airline — and its investors — may be more concerned about volume ticket sales, schedules can get compromised. OFWs have limited time to be with family, and delayed flights are among the last things we want to experience.

Safety concerns.

High-profile mishaps like the June 2 flight in Davao and another one in Manila two weeks later exposed safety concerns when flying this airline. Authorities are looking at human error as a cause of these accidents. OFW lives are already at risk as they venture out of their comfort zones and are exposed to illegal recruiters, human traffickers, and corrupt airport staff. Add the experience of flying in an airline with a questionable safety record — perhaps due to an overworked flight crew or lack of maintenance checks, is an insult to injury. If we look back in history, it’s been 15 years since that ill-fated Cebu Pacific flight 387 that crashed in Mt Sumagaya and killed 99 passengers and crew members, questions remain.

Non-existent legroom.

The seats in Cebu Pacific airplanes have been readjusted to accommodate more passengers, so only those near the exits, as well as the front rows, enjoy adequate legroom. It is tough to lean your seat back without taking the space of the person behind you. Tall people usually hit their knees on the place in front of them, and others feel very claustrophobic throughout the flight. While passengers may endure this for a short while on domestic flights, we can only hope that wide-bodied aircraft will be used for long-haul flights to the Middle East. For OFWs who wish to treat themselves a comfortable ride, maybe this is not the way to go.

Poor customer support.

In the aftermath of the 5J 971 flight whose plane skidded off the runway at Davao’s Francisco Bangoy International Airport, there was an apparent lack of coordination from the flight crew, ground staff, and overall crisis management team, if airline has one. Passengers were not informed of what’s going on, and flight attendants were allegedly unable to advise passengers what to do. And when weary folks inside the cabin were able to get off the plane, help from the airline was virtually non-existent. Passenger Menard Dacono, 26, a Filipino business development manager working in Singapore, said when they reached the airport, not one official from Cebu Pacific faced them.

Its bad reputation extends to handicapped fellowmen passengers, who were refused boarding for various reasons.

Customer support should not only be extended to people who buy tickets or rebook their flights. They also include those who miss flights because of delays and passengers who suffer due to the carrier’s error. We can only guess Cebu Pacific is more of style than substance when it comes to customer care as its infamous dancing flight attendants were suitable only for a show and a total failure during times when they’re expected to perform their duties.

Oh, and by the way, just because you’re enjoying the Piso fare doesn’t mean you’re getting the flight on the cheap. You have to pay for snacks, luggage and if you’re careless when booking online, you’ll have to pay for your seat or make unintended donation.

Passengers get bumped off due to overbooking.

Many OFWs experience getting bumped off from their flights because they were never informed that they were only booked as chance passengers. Many discounted tickets have a clause hidden in the fine print, giving the airline the right to remove passengers if the plane gets overcrowded. The problem starts from the time the company books more people than what the aircraft can accommodate to ensure that all flights are full. Even when there’s a government order, a defiant Cebu Pacific vowed to appeal the decision and threatened to raise its fares if it fails to get a positive outcome.

As a precaution, learn more about the terms when flying airlines (not just Cebu Pacific). Always read the flight details when planning to fly with Cebu Pacific and try other airlines and notice the difference from service to amenities.

As Cebu Pacific provides more routes for us to reach our hometowns and enjoy our vacation, it’s a welcome treat. But with complaints, we hear from other passengers about missed flights, lost luggage, and lack of attention to customer’s claims are all red flags for overseas Filipino workers who, like everyone, want excellent service.

  1. their Dubai maiden flight I think will start on Oct 7. I’m planning to book online pero sa nababasa ko dito, mukhang nakakatakot nga. Then, correct me if I am wrong, WALANG FREE CHECK-IN BAGGAGE ang flight na iyon, you have to pay extra (by kilo I think) kung me bagahe ka. gusto nila HAND-CARRY lng. worst, NO FREE-FOOD sila, you have to pay your food for AED 43 (P 500 per meal!). ang tinry ko is their “promo price AED 499 x2. wala pang AED 1,000 dba? pero ang hidden charges, nasa AED 1000 din! umaabot ng AED 1,976 mababayaran mo lahat, MINUS FOODS AND BAGAHE! Eh ang ibang flight, nasa AED 2,600 lang mababayaran mo, KASAMA NA LAHAT! tsk!

    Tama, ilang araw lng ang mga OFW sa pamilya nila dahil limited ang bakasyon (minsan wala pang 1 month) pero nauubos sa delayed flights ang oras nila.

Everybody know that eversince CebuPacific started, maraming kilay ang tumaas..bakit daw sa mga BISAYA ipinangalan..yaks baduy daw.. ask the Ilonggos, Zamboanguenious, Tagalogs.. they want CEBUANOS or CEBUANAS to remain as the most lowest race in the country.. We know that Philippines have racial blurs.. understand?

  3. Most of the info are true. I’m not an OFW kaya sa domestic experience ko ang isa pang reason why madalas delay ay walang ma-parkingan sa NAIA if your coming from the provinces. Minsan nakalanding na kami sa Mla pero waiting for clearance to park. Pila din sa pag take-off sa NAIA minsan inabot kami ng 45 mins waiting for takeoff clearance. But have also experience na maluwag ang early morning flight from KL & solo ko ang 3 seats.
    Yung leg room totoo yan! Ang sikip kaya lagi ko pili yung emergency exit o sa aisle seat para madali pag jingle

  5. we have to remember cebu pacific low budget airlines, , one reason iyang, regarding the delays remember airplanes ito hindi , kotse or jeep, safety is very important in airlines industry remember that always.. kaya kong may delay better ,that ano magyari sa flt..we just hope maging maayos ang kanila services…

  6. They have Web check in , looks great, but when you arrive at the airport you have to queue like all other passengers…plenty of staff doing nothing and knows nothing…this is what you are paying for….change for earlier flight you pay…but if your flight is delayed, no refund…..

Kahit naman Phil airlines di den naman maganda .ang dami naman pwude pagpilian kung gusto nyo ng maaliwalas na flyt pumili kayo ng ma’s mahal kaya nga budget airlines kaya mababa den kalidad ng service pero para sa akin kahit na di perpekto ang service nila mag bo book pa den ako laid kesa naman mapunta pa sa ibang airlines and pera KO at least papasok pa den and pera sa economy natin

  9. flight 5J804 Sg to Mla delayed. supposed to reached manila 4:05am reached 6:05 am. this was 5th oct 2014. departing mla to sg 5J807 gate is 101 written by counter lady check in. then changed to gate 104 before boarding. then they dont use the tube, have to go down stairs and take the shuttle bus. also shuttle bus are delayed. this is what you get aside from cheap tickets.

We have had a couple of bad experiences with this airline. !st my wife booked a seat for their Manila Xiamen route, she was delayed on her Port Moresby flight so she had to rebook the Manila Xiamen Cebu Pacific leg, lo & behold they said we lost half of the fare due to rebooking. The second time was again Manila Xiamen this time they refused to board our granddaughter who was travelling with us, after a long argument we had to pay extra yet again to fly that is why NEVER AGAIN CEBU PACIFIC, THE WORST AIRLINE WORSE THAN P AL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also had a bad experienced with cebu pacific staff in the airport they said we dont have a seat anymore which impossible cause we manage to book our seat each person and we will fly to the next trip so they gave us free accomodation in the nearest hotel and free 2ticket to compensate their mistake then when they uploaded 2 couple they force to take the things that they gave us, threat us we wont be able to use it anymore and also loose our flight. Then they let us run to get in and people mis judge us that we are the cause of the delay and staff didntveven explained the passenger the real reason and I feel really horrified.

  12. This is my bad experience to them… I bought a round trip ticket (CDO-MLA) in one of their ticketing outlets in San Pedro St. Davao city. It was Thursday and my actual flight is Sunday so I have to travel to CDO because my family lives there. When I checked in on the day of the flight, the crew denied my entry because according to him my ticket is not in the manifest though the ticket bears the logo and everything that described the company was printed on it. So I insisted and told them that it is not my problem since I bought the ticket in good faith and the itinerary has been explained properly by the attendant before she handed it to me. So they allowed me to board the plane going to Manila however the crew advised me to proceed to any ticketing outlet once I landed in Manila. I don’t know what he meant. To cut the story short, they denied me again to flew back to CDO and they asked me to buy new ticket or rebook my flight because for them I was not in the manifest. I raised a complain and I was told to proceed to their main office at Ortigas. I was like a basketball being pass to one attendant to another and to add further disappointment, even the head of that customer’s assistance insisted that I should buy another ticket. More so that he challenged me to bring the issue to court. Though I was run out of money and my official business in Manila has been cancelled because of the delay from going backed and forth to Ortigas office, I decided to rebooked my ticket, paid the fee so I can fly back to CDO and rest. From that day I promise to myself not to patronize CEBU PACIFIC again.

  13. Advice lang po n magdala po ng sariling kumot dahil lhat s cebu pacific may bayad ultimo tubig! So kung wala k dalang pera magtiis s lamig at gutom! Ang charge nila s kumot 250dirhams its like 2500plus in peso just for a piece of cloth! I will never ride to cebu pac again ever

I didn’t try yet CEBU PACIFIC, but still I just want to try because of the lowest offer ever, actually I already booked a ticket for my staff going to Kuwait so what my staff experiences with this airline I will know and see..ANYWAY in the business their is always bad and good experiences/comment and etc..GUY’s no perfect in this world OK!

Dont you know that delayed and cancelled flights is present and you can experience it even international flights throughout the world! Like what ive experience in delta air san francisco to miami. I was delayed for 2 hrs coz of their aircraft!

  16. For my 20 years working in gulf first time akong sumakay ng cebu pacific, the worst airline n nsakyan ko, service was very bad.. Sa haba ng biyahe, khit water wala man lang iseserve, dapat bibili k sa knila, khit blanket wala.. It was a very bad experience ..

  17. I am an OFW… and currently they added a new international route here in Kuwait.
    I choose them over major airlines that service this part of the globe for the reason that, their fare is significantly very reasonable enough. Think about this. The average fare difference between cebupac and other major airlines here is around 15-20k Php! As an OFW ang pera namin ay pinaghirapan talaga so yang laki na tipid na yan is very significant yan para sa amin. Of course meron kang e trade sa presyo na yan like no free blanket(bring one!) but saan kaba maka hanap ng magsweldo sa iyo ng 15-20k in one day mahahanap mo ba yan? I would rather tiis sa mga minor adjustment for that big difference! ..plus this planes that they are sending for international route are the newest in their fleet. I never doubt the capacity of our filipino pilots because they are one of the best in the industry.. So kung marami kang yabang at kung may pera ka, go for major airlines! but of course you have to pay for it.. But for my own opinion as OFW, CebuPacific offers the best for our hard earn money! and direct flight pa!

  18. Hindi paninira ito, I was 5 mins delayed to check-in due to bus delayed also from the hotel. They didn’t allow be to board the scheduled flight. The representative of CP told me to rebook it. So, I paid again for my ticket and waited for 4 hours for the next flight. But the thing there is, the plane is still on the tarmac and still waiting for others to board. Why they don’t allowed me to check-in and board the plane since there is stil time for me to do so. Is it a business strategy to gain more money? What the heck!!

  19. Philippine Airlines PR 655 Riyadh – Manila December 11, 2013. A lot of my kababayans are fooled by posting schedule board blinking delayed 3 hours from starting of my waiting 2:00pm upto 12:00 pm. The flight schedule of PAL plane 21:00 hours. Unfortunately all our kakabayans relaying on the schedule board was nothing to seen this PAL airplane and that cost my lost 1 day for hotel booked and 1 day job payment. This was happen in king khalid international airport.

  20. Less budjet help people to saved their money but if we talk about safety id rather to pay cost fare for my safety rather than cheap fare.. I know all about it as i am working in the airlines so cebu pacific i dont think it would be the right airlines to choose… I know all about airlines as i am handling 30 different airlines in my work

  21. I don’t like this airline. I had several incidents of delay and cancelled flight due to radar maintenance. Since I bought the ticket 3 months before and promo, my ticket is non-refundable, non-transf, and re-sched within 6 mos. Paano na kaming OFW na every 12 mos lang nakakauwi. Nasayang ang pera, oras at walang adjustment na naibigay sa akin. Useless ung ticket ko at extra lug fee. Sana ayusin nyo servisyo nyo at tumanggap naman kau ng credit card kasi gusto nyo laging cash ang payment!

  25. cebu pacific is for the people spending more time..it is good for dating, the more you delayed the more sweetness you’v got. it is also good for people who stowaway the more you delayed the more you realize that you did something wrong… so……don’t just judge airlines think about it, if it is good for you or your not good for them…HAVE A SAFE FLIGHT!!!!!

  26. i was boarding a flight with cebu pacific first time in my life to fly with a plane way back 2012,, ,, cebu to manila flight ,, ,,it was delayed because the water from the comfort room flooded to the plane’s aisle ,,,i was shocked ,,seriously my heart beat like a drum ,, i was afraid if there some peeled wire and create an electrical circuit shortages… tsk tsk …

  27. Ako din nalate lng ako ng 5 min. Due to a strong typhoon in isabela di na ako pinapasok. Ng irebook ko yung ticket ko cnabihan ako na di na pwede gamitin ang ticket at bibili daw ulit ng panibagong ticket. Dahil auaw kong masira ang tiwala ng amo ko sa akin kahit mahal makabalik lng ako ng hk. Halaga ng ticket na binili ko ay 7,000 pesos. Di na ako uulit na sasakay pa ng CEBU PACIFIC. no food pa pareho kung minsan ang halaga sa phil. Airline

Since 2001 till present when it comes to domestic flight i always fly with cebu pacific…never pa nangyari sa akin yung sinasabi ng iba na always delayed na sana wag nman mangyari..i could say thank you cebu pacific dahil lagi ako naka abang sa piso fare promo nyo or even dun sa 75% off…satisfied na ako sa service ng cebu pac…. always keep safe and pray before fly with cebu pacific.

I had a bad treatment with one crew way back May when i came home from bkk to phil. i dont have any philippine peso, i got small baht bills, i hope to buy a can of coke cause my sugar level is low, i was told, they dont accept 20 bills and coins, but i insist that i have diabetes, and he told me with a tense voice that why i did’nt eat first before i got boarded.. screw him, i have only dollars with me and few baht currencies left.. they knew how expensive the food in suvanabhumi, thats why i ate before goingto airport and i just rely on their food service… moron. is that how they welcome OFWs (HEROES HOW THEY CALL IT) if not for a good samaritan who sits besides me, i would have cause so much trouble for them.. for hypertension for low sugar.. grrrrr

  31. If your so piss off flying Cebu Pacific why not fly Malaysia Airlines the plane will just be shut down or Air France which crash in a storm cause the pilot was sleeping. A piece of advise take a flight 5 days before your designated day to return for work you will be more relax no problem.. Enjoy your flight.

  33. I had mine too. And one staff who assisted me during my check in had over priced my luggage cost. I gave her the full cost, then I asked for the discount. She then recomputed and gave me discount. In the system I have paid 4,500 after discount. The full amount of 6,500 I gave to her but did not gave me back the change. She claimed that she gave me. Cheater!

  34. My worst experience is having our flight bumped 9 hours onto the next day! They gave us food stubs for snacks and a voucher for a free roundtrip flight without any expiration (according to the incheon airport staff assigned at our gate). When I booked the free flight, I was informed that it was only good for 6 months and for one way only! (They even made me pay an extra 1100++php.) Not only that, you can’t even use it for flights going anywhere other than manila! (If you’re not from manila.) I don’t understand how people can tolerate such low quality service.

  35. naka-experience na din ako ng cebu pac. domestic flight. Seems ok naman, hindi ko na din na notice kung may delay, siguro dahil kasama ko family and friends ko. Pero kung sakaling international flights, siguro mas prefer ko ang ibang airlines, especially kung meron namang ibang choices.. we can’t totally blame the airline for this, lahat naman ng umpisa ay hindi talaga perfect. it takes time for them to gather all the complaints, researches and studies to improve their services and fleets, including the crews.. ganon din naman sa PAL, i’ve heard a lot about these two airlines, pero hindi naman sila hopeless. it’s just that, it’s not yet their time to be recognized as one of the leading competitor in the airline market. still a long way to go..

Its good that Cebupac gave us a choice… As an OFW, I can only afford to go home once every year before, but with Cebupac, I can now afford to go home 3-4 times a year since they have a the Piso fare. I tried going home with Etihad on a Christmas and cost me 4,700 dirhams compared to my ticket this Christmas cost me only 989 dirhams. Now, which airline you like?

  37. wala naman ako naging prob sa cebu pacific. With regards sa pinost dito. 1. ung delayed due to weather.. lagi ko nalang ito nababasa. di naman hawak ng ceb pac ang weather. it’s valid naman tlga na madelay or macancel ang flight if the weather persists it. sino ba namang gago lilipad kung hindi maganda ang panahon. tapos kung bumagsak, reklamo ulit? 2. pareho lang naman ang procedure ng ibang airlines with regards to safety concerns. with respect to accidents, accident nga e. try to think. do you think those pilots or stewards/stewardess wants to be in a flight that will crash down? 3. legroom ba? naku! kahit sa ibang airlines masikip tlga pag nasa economy ka. if u want. mag business class ka. 4. with regards to this, i cant say much since wala ako dun when it happened. di ako kumakagat lang sa mga hear say. i have to hear both sides. but as for me.. sa mga flights na i’ve been to.. wala namang akong probs with ceb pac. 5. it is also our responsibility to read everything that concerns on our tickets or flights. even for the reason for the delays and everything.
    FYI. even international airlines at even ung PAL nadedelay or nacacancel din ung flights. lost baggages happens. wag puro blame kung ikaw mismo tatanga tanga ka. mag isip ka rin muna. dami rin kasi aasta agad kahit di naman alam ang nangyayari. as Danilo Quimco have said… sinisiraan lang ung ceb pac. all of us have our own opinions… bahala na kau kung saan kau sasakay. but for me, Cebu Pacific, sasakaya pa rin ako.

  38. OFW po ako from Dubai, 3rd year ko na po dito. Last July this year first uwi ko ng Pinas for a short vacation 8 days, went to davao, palawan and back to manila, tapos pumunta po ako ng Sg at bumalik ng manila for a connecting flight to Dubai. Cebu Pacific po lahat ang airline na pinili kong sakyan sa lahat ng trips ko. Honestly, Cebu Pac is not best airlines with it comes to services and etc but it’s not costly as the other airlines esp flights from Dubai to Manila. I saved around 10-15k pesos compared to the Emirates Airlines (THE BEST AIRLINE). Good thing about Cebu Pac its a direct 8-hour flight to Manila unlike Cathay Pacific, Malaysian Airline, Gulf Air and etc. Un nga lang, I’m always choosing the leg row seat para di masikip sa tuhod. Im going back home this Dec for a long holiday, Cebu Pac is still my airline of choice. I respect people’s opinions and choices but If i rate Cebu Pac in terms of Price/ Saving 10/10 and in terms of service etc 6/10.

Ikaw ay nag komento ng laban sa cebu pacific sa kadahilanang ikaw ay may bad experience saiyong pag byahe lulan ng cebu pacific. Pangalawa kung ikaw ay nag komento sa kadahilanang hindi mo gusto ang sa tingin mo ay paninira lamang na komento, laban sa cebupacific. Ang saakin lang po CEBUPACIFIC man or PAL mag silbi kayo ng buongpuso sa lahat ng inyong pasahero at ng maging maayos ang lahat. PEaCE!

I was in Hongkong airport at that time waiting for my departure going back to manila but when news came out that there was a typhoon all flights will be cancelled and i understand about that but NO ONE FROM CEBU PACIFIC REPRESENTATIVE CAME TO ADVISE US. Para kaming tanga lahat don kung anu gagawin sa monitor walang details kung anung status ng flight. 12 hours delayed yung flight wala man lang my nag pakita sa amin. Then wen flight resumed nasa plane na ako naka upo my lumapit pa sa akin na nawawala yung bagahe ko. Sabi ko WOW i paid the taxi driver 1000HNK$ para maka abot lang sa flight ko pero na delay na nawala pa yung bagahe ko. I was in manila i faced one of their representative and asking them why these things happened sagutin ka pa nman na “sir iba po kasi yung tao don xa Hongkong kaya hnd nmin alam” ng narinig ko yun parang gusto kung mag wala at sinabihan ko na iba ba yung nag mamayari ng cebu pacific sa Hong Kong at sa inyo dito. Pero hnd na ako nakapag pigil nasabi ko yung salita na Sariling lahi natin yung nagpapahamak yung kalahi mo din. BP ko umabot ata 200/100. Kaya advice ko if you can buy ticket from other airlines don’t hesitate to do it coz ur just making ur flight miserab

Got the bad experience with you too cebpac…a 19kphp one way ticket for two for a domestic flight from cdo-mnl is not a joke yet when we checked in they said the flight will be delayed and it took us almost 4 hours before the aircraft arrived from manila and then worst scenario we’re walking under the heat of the sun just to board the aircraft same thing when we arrived manila…:-(

The most nightmare airline as far as I know….ahhhh…they are same with airphil…they will delay the flyt and accepting chance passengers…if u arrive 30minutes before your flyt it considered late…but the airplane still in airport for 5 hours when after you arrive…they think always BUSINESS…NOT SERVICE

  47. I lost my checked on luggage on our way to Davao from Mactan Cebu last Jan.18, 2015! I have reported the incident & filed complaint against the carelessness of their crews. Unfortunately, until now (Jan.29,2015), no news have been reported of the whereabouts of my luggage. I’ve been a frequent flyer of Cebu Pacific aircraft. ‘Never expected this to happen. Yet, they’re too slow to solve this ill-fated experience! Sana blanket ma-resolve nila concern ko Sa lalong madaling panahon. It’s clearly part of their negligence!

  48. This is so true. Had a flight experience from Dubai to Manila last year 2014. There is no free food on flight. You have to pay as well for any drinks like coffee or even water. You have pay as well for the blanket, so you dont have a choice just to purchase it coz it’s freezing. Flight ba k to Dubai, you have to pay for the tax even if i paid during the booking. They said it was another tax, which I don’t know. Overall its not cheap because of thier poor services and other hidden charges. I will never fly again with this airline. Poor service of all airlines!

  52. Learn to know truth from bashing…most delays are due to traffic congestion
    ..Air traffic control plays a great deal in this regard and nobody even talks about it. I know it by heart coz I’m on it
    ..still active for more than 30 yes…any airline for that matter I’d affected by it…so if you talk about delays and its relative effect to flying customers…be deligent enough to learn facts and deduce conclusions…not emotional hearsay and bash specific culprits

Well the last cebu Pac flight I had was the worst..we were delayed for an hour and the pilot obviously rushed the take off like he was trying to race with the wind..I was so scared and so were the kids that they were all screaming because the plane was shaky and was just really fast. My friend was just laughing and for a person who is so much scared of heights,it’s not a fun thing at all.Well with that speed we had we reached manila 30 minutes earlier…

Also, pag ang China natapos ang papanakop sa 2 Island ng Philippines and totally declare d war, gagamiting ng pure Chinese ang PAL para e evacuate sa safer place ang pure chines blood, walang isasakay na latutubo yan. Its not land grabbing ang nauna, but pit all kastutubo sa lahat ang corner na walang option.

  55. I had a bad experience as well with this airline. I bought a round trip ticket online and everything went well. I have confirmed flight but to my disappointment exactly upon touch down of my flight in Manila I received text message from Cebupac that my return flight is cancelled due to aircraft issues. I got into a hell of a problem looking for a suitable return flight by another airline. I spent too much booking for the return flight all because of the canclled flight of cebupac. When i reach the mideast i checked the creditcard statement and there i learned that the cost of the return flight was actually refunded immediately after I booked. No any advise were given by Cebupac considering that they have my email add and my phone number with them. The only email i got was that the flights i bought online were good to go. Cebupac was one crap airline the the gov. need to look into.

My first abroad..Brunei I flight with this airline.. poor service, kailangan mo pa bilhin ung food na napakamahal pero kakapirnagot, di comfortable ang upuan at kakabahan ka sa tak off dahil parang kakalas sa ere.. halos buong eroplano nag vivibrate.. higit sa lahat di maganda ang customer service at walang ksamang 20kilos baggage allowance.. mag PAL nalang kayo para ramdam nyo ang comfort.

  57. Totally agree ako diyan. Lalo na yung no. 1, 2 and 4. I had a bad experience with Cebu Pacific that I can say kasumpasumpa. Kaya kabayan kahit sabihin mo pang mura, dibale na. Magbayad nalang kayo ng mas mahal, safe at maginhawa pa ang biyehe ninyo at walang stress.

Nawala ang check in baggage …..maraming silang dahilan….even ang ground steward very incompetent….about my inquiry….it take almost. 2 years fo compensate my lost delsy baggage and not worh….P100/kilo and maximum of 15 kilos…only P1500 maximum for your lost baggage….how much in the cost of 1 delsey trolley baggage plus the contents…..very discouraging…

    Hindi ito paninira. May basehan! Ang flyt dapat may promise ng safety and assistance sa mga disabled, at umaatend sa mga complain and issues, hindi ung kapag may complain ang passenger mas galit pa ang staff.
    Hindi lang basta business ang airline, you are driving people’s lives. Hnd yan ktulad ng kotse na kapag tumirik baba ang mga pasahero balik pamasahe ok na.
    Walang perpektong airline, tandaan nyo yan. Pero merong worst.

  61. Last December, nag-try kami sa CP dahil bago sila dito sa Riyadh. Unfortunately, 6 hrs delay ang flight pauwi ng Manila. Pero namigay naman sila ng sandwich sa airport. Kaya lang talagang pati drinking water eh babayaran mo ng 5 riyals. Palibhasa nasanay tayo sa ibang airline na lahat libre na kaya nakakagulat. Pero noong pabalik na kami, Manila-Riyadh, on-time naman sila. Doon sa mga nagrereklamo, next time wag na kayong sumakay ng Cebu Pacific. Gusto nyo nang mura kaya magtiis kayo. What do you expect sa mga low cost airlines?

  62. First time we experienced cebu pacific on 2014 even inside the aircraft my husband’s necklace was snatched the time when we were asleep by 12 midnight. When he approached the crew and even the captain he was told “Sorry we couldn’t assist you on this as CCTV is not working” tama ba namang sagot un! We should have lodged a complaint but i told my husband we will just waste time on that so better leave it. I pacified him saying that maybe the passenger who did that was in need and she or he had nothing and had thought if doing that. Yes Cebu Pacific is a worst airline be it domestic or international.

So many bad comment and so many defenders, both side are right, parang istorya ng Dell computer, there was a time na sila ang pinakamura, ang daming promotion, and then, their quality errode, but consumer accepted it, then the customer service errode, and that’s when people complains, gave bad publicity, words of mouth about bad product and services almost bring the sales down. What did Dell do? listen to customer complaints, improve customer service, kahit gaano kapalpak ang product, if the customer service sooth the bad feeling of the customer, customer will still come back for another try.

    Disregards the customer like you don’t need them, consumer will abandon you sooner or later.

  66. Worst airline experience I’ve EVER had. I made a mistake on my flight travel itinerary. When I called them to correct it – they chardged me $150 of re-booking fees. I even purchased insurance and Next Flight but that didn’t help me. Customer service is super bad and blatantly rude. The website is confusing. The fine print on the insurance and Next Flight is misleading. Not worth the alleged savings they offer in their promotions. Save yourself the hassle and fly a different airline.

Hnd maiiwan young delayed flight kc Lantau nman no airlines may delay din because of some reasons may d airline wants to accommodate passenger that’s why BUT my problem with them is yong space for my leg is napakasip my daughter plus her by who is 6ft tall long legged could hard sit kc yong leg nya any hnd kasha so it’s really uncomfortable plus kht sna man long free sna hnd lahat at bnebenta so double n pahirap not all passenger can afford to buy their pano da kc bukod don mahal pa. That’s what I don’t like with Cebu pacific.

    1. Flights get delayed, maraming beses na ako nakasakay ng air plane pero hndi ko pa naExperience na madelay sa pagsakay ng Cebu Fac minsan nga mas advance pa sila magflight kesa sa binigay na time.
    Hndi yata updated ang gumawa nito..
    And maraming beses narin ako nakasakay ng Philippines airlines at puro delay ang flight isang beses lang ata ako nakatsamba na ontime ang flight ng PAL.

  69. i still prefer cebupac over pal when it comes to overall services. of course, who wouldnt want to fly on bigger planes which equates to less turbulence? i had a bad exp with PAL a few years ago. I was booked on a cartain flight but i was put on the next succeeding flight, telling me that my booked flight is already full. I swore that day I will never fly PAL again. Punctuality-wise, I noticed that Cebupac flights are on par with PAL now but im not sure if this is the result of congestion on the tarmac. Bottomline, if youre budget-constrained, fly Cebupac.

  70. The “DELAY” thing is now a “normal” daily occurence…..very frustrating for us who have scheduled activities to attend….very undependable airlines….am talking about domestic….i dont know if this applies also to international routes, havent tried taking CebuPac yet for international routes

  71. Do not expect good service from the ground personnel because they are not Cebu Pacific employees, they are employees of a manpower company under contract with Cebu Pacific. Most likely the same holds true for their maintenance personnel. Their scheduling of the aircraft usage is based on the flight that has more booking.

  72. Always fly PAL. It’s not the best, but it’s your only other option if you do not like CP. I’ve never flown CP before and will never will, after hearing and reading about the late flights, rude personnel, ect. Writing letters to management will not work either. They do not care.
