Filipina in Vegas Dies After Being Ran Over By Stolen Vehicle

Authorities in Las Vegas have identified the Filipina who allegedly jumped out of a stolen truck and died after the same vehicle ran her over. Maricel Param Menina, 34, was aboard a stolen Ford F-450 work vehicle with three people inside near Las Vegas Boulevard and Cheyenne Avenue when the incident took place 7:36am morning of April 8th. In an effort to collect the life insurance of her husband, an American woman of Filipino descent reportedly conspired in a plot to kill him. Michelle Antwanette Paet, 34, was found guilty and has been sentenced to life in a Nevada prison without parole for the death of her husband, Staff Sgt. Nathan Paet, 28, in December 2010. Staff Sgt. A Filipina has sued her former employer after she claims she was humiliated by her boss, who told her people from her country were direct descendants from monkeys, according to TMZ.
