Filipino Nurse in UK Charged for Botched Blood Transfusion

A Filipino nurse based in London has been accused of causing the death of a patient by administering a wrong blood transfusion.

Lea Ledesma, 48, is charged of manslaughter over the death of Ali Huseyin while being treated at the Heart Hospital in central London in May 2014.

Ledesma, who lives in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, denied manslaughter by negligence for the death of Huseyin before a court hearing in Southwark Crown Court.
