This is to reduce congestion at the consulate and for the convenience of the applicants (hassle-free). These documents include the following:

· Any form of affidavit
· Jurat
· Report of Marriage
· Seen and Noted Documents
· Attestation
· Acknowledgment
· Report of Birth
· And other notorial documents

Following the notice, the consulate report a significant drop in the volume of people at the consulate by 20%.Because all the documents are sent through Empost, the applicant should pay the courier service charge which is Dh15. The applicant should receive the documents 3 to 7 working days from the time of the release of documents.

Step by Step Procedure for Notarial Documents
1. Fill out the needed forms and provide the requirements.
2. Go to the Notary Window for processing.
3. Pay the courier fee.
4. Wait for the documents to be delivered.

On Passport Extension
Meanwhile, the Consulate General of the Republic of the Philippines in United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced that starting January 1, 2014, the consulate will no longer processed for extended passports except for medical emergencies or deaths cases. Thus, applicants of the aforementioned events need to present proof for consideration before they are allowed to fly. This move stems from the fact that more than 50% of passport renewals daily in the consulate are last-minute applications. And what’s more, once they are given extension, applicants neglect to claim their new passports leading to thousands of backlog passports.

To subtly inject discipline among applicants and to avoid inconvenience, applicants need to learn to apply ahead of time preferably 8 months before the expiration of the passports. Passports of 6 months from its expiration date are of no use and are considered invalid.

Requirements for Passport Extension
· Fill out passport extension form
· Original passport
· Photocopy of data page of original passport
· 1 pc 2” x 2” picture
· Passport extension fee of AED 80
At present, expats of UAE can now fill out the e-passport application form which can be viewed here.

According to the Consulate General of the Republic of the Philippines in United Arab Emirates (UAE), all notarial documents shall be processed through a courier only and there will already be no passports extensions for late applicants.
