It may be rare but not impossible for a Filipino to be part of a law enforcement body in a foreign country.
That’s the case of Ajman First Police Office Johnray Cerna, who has been living in the United Arab Emirates since 2006 and has already been four years serving the Abu Dhabi police force.
Cerna, 44, hails from Zamboanga City and obtained a degree in Business Management at Sulu State College. Right before becoming a police officer, he worked as a salesman and travel agency manager.
With his ability to read, write and speak the Arabic language, he became eligible to join the force.
On September 22, he met with Consul General Paul Raymond P. Cortez at the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai.
