Filipino Maid in HK Charged With Threatening Co-Worker With Knife
A Filipino domestic worker in Hong Kong has been arrested and charged with criminal intimidation Thursday night after allegedly threatening her co-worker with a knife.
The suspect, 47, who works for a family in Hong Kong’s Shatin district, had a dispute with her 46-year-old female co-worker, the Oriental Daily reported.
The woman allegedly took a knife and threatened her co-worker, prompting the co-worker to call police.
Police officers arrived at the scene and after an initial investigation arrested the woman and charged her with criminal intimidation. The case has since been handled by crime investigation team from Sha Tin police.
Under Hong Kong law, the woman faces a fine of HK$2,000 and imprisonment for two to five years if found guilty.
