Kuwait Embassy Monitoring Probe of Death of Filipina Domestic Worker

The Philippine Embassy in Kuwait is now probing the death of Marife Librada, a Filipina domestic worker in Kuwait.

Librada, the sister of TV comedian Super Tekla — real name Romeo Librada — was found hanging in her room on Dec. 29.

Vice Consul Charleson Hermosura said the embassy is now monitoring the investigation surrounding the Filipina’s death.

Earlier, it was reported that Marife committed suicide, a claim Romeo does not buy. In a video post on Facebook, Romeo said they want to find out if his sister indeed committed suicide or was a victim of foul play.

#Justiceformariefelibrada”, the post read.

Romeo alleged that her sister was a victim of abuse while working abroad.
