1 HEAD CHEF

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Food Preparation & Cooking
Proven expertise in traditional North Indian cuisine, especially dum-style biryani, rich curries, and tandoor-prepared items (tikka, kebabs, naan, etc.)
Knowledge of Indian breads (naan, roti, paratha) and side accompaniments like raita, chutneys, and dals
Skilled in the preparation of authentic Indian gravies, spice blends, and marination techniques

2. Menu Planning & Development
Design and update menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Innovate fusion dishes while maintaining traditional flavors.

3. Kitchen Management
Oversee food stock, ingredient inventory and procurement.
Maintain hygiene standards and Kitchen safety protocols.
Train and supervise junior chefs and kitchen staff.

4. Quality Control
Ensure all dishes meet quality, taste, and food safety standards.
Address customer feedback and adjust recipes if needed.

5. Tandoor & Specialty Cooking
Operate and maintain a tandoor (clay oven) for naan, kebabs, and tandoori dishes.
Prepare chutneys, pickles, and spice blends from scratch.

6. Cost Control
Minimize food wastage and optimize ingredient usage.
Monitor kitchen expenses and budget.

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
✔ Experience: 5 to 7+ years as an I Chef (restaurant/hotel).
✔ Culinary Expertise: Mastery of spices, gravies, and cooking methods.
✔ Certification: Diploma/Certificate in Culinary Arts (preferred).
✔ Physical Stamina: Ability to work long hours in a high-heat kitchen.
✔ Teamwork: Leadership skills to manage kitchen staff.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Shift Timings: Often includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Environment: Fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen.
