Reasons Why Abu Dhabi is Better Than Dubai

More UAE Updates

Although Dubai has built its reputation through the years as tourist destination and business hub, there are still many individuals who consider Abu Dhabi to be much better. Abu Dhabi is the second biggest city in the United Arab Emirates and also its capital. It is situated on a T-shaped island in the Persian Gulf and has a population close to one million.

1. Architectural wonders

Abu Dhabi features the first Ferrari theme park in the world. The park is entirely dedicated to the famous Italian racing company and features 20 initial rides, including the fastest roller-coaster in the world called the F1 Coaster. People also get to ride on a car powered by a real Ferrari engine. It is one of the most unique theme parks available. Golf addicts will also be excited to play in some of the most breathtaking places such as Yas Island, which is the first links course in the Middle East. The course was created by architect Kyle Phillips and features the coastline. Another great course is the Saadiyat Beach Golf Course, designed by Gary Player.

The Emirates Palace is one of the most luxurious hotels in the world and is even better than the popular Burj al-Arab of Dubai. The cost for building the hotel is estimated at $3.2 billion and features top quality suites. The hotel has a 1,200-seat theatre and golf-leaf dome.

2. Outdoor adventures

People who are fond of plants and animals will surely enjoy Sir Bani Yas Island which features some of the rarest animals and plant species in the world. The place used to be the private nature park of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, founder of UAE. The park spans 87 square kilometers and includes cheetahs, Arabian Oryx and other rare birds. You can explore the place using a mountain bike, kayak or jeep.

Desert driving in Abu Dhabi is much better compared to Dubai’s dunes since there are great companies that offer tours and rides for visitors to see some of the amazing desert scenes and animals. Tourists can dine and ride camels under the evening desert sky. You can also learn more about how ancient Arabs lived by visiting the oasis Al Ain.

There are several booming companies in the area and job opportunities are waiting for individuals from different parts of the world in the field of construction, technology, science, health care and business.
