Dimzon explained the OWWA provides and administers country-specific, gender-specific, and skills-specific modules through the help of accredited education providers. She said that workers learn information and get training ahead of their deployments.
The OWWA chief said to improve their PDOS, they have updated their modules relating to financial literacy, stress management, health and safety, protection against human and drugs smuggling and piracy, and protection against abuses.
Dimzon said that prior to the deployment of workers, they are urged to understand the provisions of their contracts, learn their rights and obligations under labor laws in destination countries, acquire conversational languages in foreign work places, and observe cultural do’s and don’ts.
