If you happen to receive an email coming from Previsto Ferrocariel Guiscoanagin using the email address espanolconsulate@europe.com inviting you to apply for jobs available in Spain, be cautioned. This is the statement released by the Department of Foreign Affairs, after citing reports from the Philippine Embassy in Spain.
The said dubious company has been trying to attract applicants aiming to work in Spain, using the said email address under the guise that carries the official message from the Philippine Embassy in Madrid, the DFA said on its website.
Previsto Ferrocariel Guiscoanagin gave its address at Calle Placentinos 18B, 32005, Barcelona, Spain but the Philippine Consulate General in Barcelona verified that there is no such address in Barcelona.
“There is a Calle de los Placentinos in the province of Salamanca, while the zip code 32005 corresponds to the province of Ourense, not Catalonia,” the DFA said.
The DFA has been advising overseas job applicants to carefully verify the credibility of the company and check the veracity of any job on offer. The best way to do so is to consult the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in the country concerned, the Philippine Overseas Employment Agency, or the Department of Labor and Employment.
