Registered overseas Filipino workers based in Hong Kong and Singapore will cast their votes electronically in the upcoming elections in the Philippines on May 10. This was confirmed by the Commission on Elections, affirming that OFWs from these cities will use the Precinct Count Optical Scan (PCOS) machines within a period of one month from April 10 up to May 10.
There are 95,355 registered voters in Hong Kong and 31,851 in Singapore, combining for about 20 per cent of total overseas Filipino voting population of about half a million.

Unlike the PCOS in the Philippines, the equipment in Hong Kong and Singapore can hold 5,000 ballots per machine. Thirty PCOS machines will be installed in the Philippine posts abroad, four of which are spares.
Overseas voting is traditionally done manually over the course of the extended voting period. Registered Filipinos abroad can either cast their votes by personal appearance at the embassy or send their votes by mail.
