Officials from the Passport Department in Riyadh arrested 28 Filipino workers in Al-Rabwah and Umm Sulaim districts of the city for violating the Kingdom’s residence and labor regulations.

The violations include running away from sponsors, working for people who are not their sponsors and using forged documents.
Director of the Passport Department in Riyadh Brig. Abdul Rahman Al-Tuwairqi warned people against hiring domestic workers illegally as there are security and health risks involved. The official urged members of the public to inform the authorities if they see anyone who has violated the Kingdom’s regulations.

Are you surprised? Because I am not. Filipinos don't like to follow the law, not even traffic laws. So, when they go to another country like Saudi Arabia, they find the law to be an inconvenience until they find themselves behind bars or face the possibility of having their head chopped off.
