PHL Consulate General in Hong Kong Closed Late March, Early April

Citing Philippine and Hong Kong holidays, the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong will be closed for the most part of the two weeks bridging March and April.
In a notice posted on its website, the Consulate General said it will be open only on four of the 13 days between March 28 (Maundy Thursday) and April 9 (Araw ng Kagitingan).
“Regular schedule will resume on April 10, Wednesday,” it said.
The Consulate General will be closed on:
- March 28 to April 1 (Maundy Thursday to Easter Monday)

- April 4, Thursday (Ching Ming Festival)
- April 5 and 6 (consulate weekend)
- April 9, Tuesday (Araw ng Kagitingan)
Ching Ming Festival is the day Chinese sweep the graves of their ancestors.
It is also a day for families to “weed graves, touch up headstone inscriptions, make offerings of food and light incense.”
Meanwhile, the Consulate General will be open on April 2, 3, 7, and 8.
