Filipino in Kuwait Loses Fingers in Elevator Accident
A Filipino lost some of his fingers after he was caught inside a restaurant elevator described by Kuwait’s police as lacking minimum safety standards.
Civil defence men had to smash the lift’s door inside the two-level restaurant in Salimiya neighbourhood in the capital Kuwait City to release the man.
“They broke the door and rescued the Filipino…but he had already lost some of his fingers after they were caught between the lift and the door,” Alwatan daily said.
