“We campaigned hard among our fellow Filipinos in our respective adopted countries to help bring about change in our homeland. It is incumbent upon us to make sure that our new leaders, particularly our new President Aquino, get our support as they live up to their campaign promise to bring about such change,” said Reyes, one of the organizers of the convention.

Fr. Rodel Balagtas, parish priest of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Los Angeles, will deliver the invocation.
