Members of the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers (PSME-CRSA) attended over the weekend a technical seminar on piping systems at the Al-Muthana Hotel in Riyadh.
“The main aim of the technical seminar is to introduce to the PSME-CRSA members a new range of products and technology in fusiotherm,” said Resty S. Sibug, PSME-CRSA president. The group has 200 members.
Fusiotherm is an advanced pipe system which involves the use of plastic material, polypropylene, wherein the parts are joined by fusion (heating parts by welding machine) without any additives.
“The fusiotherm pipe system features not only a long service life but also excellent environmental and social compatibility,” said Ashfaq Shahmalak, sales and technical manager at Al-Shahoo Trading & Contracting, who conducted the seminar.

The PSME-CRSA regularly conducts seminars to update its members on the latest developments in their field.
Shahmalak explained the applications of fusiotherm in pipe networks in shipbuilding, potable water pipe networks, heating pipes for residential buildings, pipe networks for rainwater utilization system, pipe networks for compressed air plants, pipe networks for air-conditioning facilities, pipe networks for the connection of heat pumps, pipe networks for solar plants, and pipe networks for industry (such as in the transport of acid).
He said that the environmental-friendly raw material fusiolen is used in the manufacture of the fusiotherm pipe system.
“To ensure its environmental compatibility, the basic material polypropylene, as well as all contained additives (color pigments and stabilizers) were extensively tested in laboratories,” said Shahmalak.
PSME-CRSA members who attended said the “seminar was very informative.”
John B. Biadomang, a civil engineer at the Blue Wave Group, said, “The fusiotherm system involves a facer composite pipe that has a fiberglass lining to limit the sagging and exposure of the pipe.”
Fusiotherm pipe system products are manufactured by Aquatherm, which is based in Attendorn, Germany, and distributed in Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries by Al-Shahoo Trading & Contracting, which sponsored the seminar.
Ali Al-Shahoo, managing director of Al-Shahoo Trading & Contracting, was also present on the occasion.

Your blog is really cool to me and your subject matter is very relevant. I was browsing around and came across something you might find interesting. I was guilty of 3 of them with my sites. “99% of blog managers are committing these 5 mistakes”. http://bit.ly/sDWBw6 You will be suprised how easy they are to fix.
