Applicants for Quebec immigration must meet minimum number of points to qualify for application of Canadian permanent resident visa. The points system is based on several factors such as education, age and work experience. A single applicant must score at least 49 points based on the criteria below. An applicant with a spouse or common-law partner must score at least 57 points.

Submission for 2015/2016 application cycle will come in two periods: postal applications from November 4 to December 15, 2015 and online applications from January 18 to March 31, 2016. Those who are successful in their applications under the Quebec Immigration selection system are issued a Quebec Selection Certificate, which entitles them to apply for permanent residence status.
